OLFACTIVE STUDIO’S NEW FLORAL BORN
Roses are red, violets are blue, spring has sprung, and Dancing Light has blossomed ! Olfactive Studio’s newest creation will take you and your nose to far away countries, on an extraordinary scented journey.
From the northern Norwegian forests of aromatic Pines surrounding the icy lakes on which reflect the magical shades of green and blue of the aurora borealis, to the warm south eastern Indian winds that carry the enchanting fragrance of the Jasmine flower fields.
Perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur composed a bouquet of seducing white flowers, the irresistible Jasmin, Neroli, Freesia, and rare Seringa, refreshed by freezing top notes of Icy Mint and Pine Needles, spicy Pink Pepper and Cardamom, and soothed by the softness of the Musks along with the richness of Sandalwood.
Ice, ice, baby! Dance to the contrasted olfactive rhythm of Dancing Light!
DANCING LIGHT’S ELEGANT WHITE FLOWER
THE STUNNING JASMINE
Jasminum Sambac and Jasminum Grandiflorum are the two species of Jasmine employed by perfumers in fine fragrance. Their delicate pale flowers have in common their bewitching scent, yet Sambac Jasmine is more orange flower-like, and greener than Grandiflorum Jasmine. The latter has a more fruity and animalistic scent.
If both are cultivated in the southern Indian region of Tamil Nadu (anciently called Madras), Grandiflorum Jasmine is famously grown in Egypt and Grasse as well. In the 18th century, the traditional enfleurage method was used to extract its delightful scent.
Legend tells Cleopatra perfumed her boat’s sails with Jasmine, to seduce Marc Anthony, her lover.
